Last September 7, my son Kadmiel turns four years old. It was in deed a special day for every one of us. It will be his second time celebrating in Singapore. The venue is the same as last year, here at Serangoon Central the only difference is last time we don’t live here, now we do. We have been planning that day few days before. We went to buy Ingredients the day before for Paula’s Palabok, Frozen fruit salad and Tiim (Spare Ribs). We thanked Mamu (Kadmiel’s Grandma) for guiding my wife how to cook the Tiim. Cannot count how many calls Paula did to her. After that, we went to buy gifts. We are also looking forward to this event for my wife haven’t cook and eat so much lately, It’s because she’s pregnant and she’s having a hard time because of Lihi and we haven’t had Filipino dishes in a while. We always have pasta for occasions.
Its about 12 midnight when we gave him the gifts. I bought him the PC game “Toy Story 3”, cannot tell how happy he was when he got it. He’d been longing to have that, the first day he saw it. And Mommy gave him a remote control toy car. My son has been counting days two weeks before his birthday and that morning he’s very excited. He had really grown up so fast now he can even count backwards. It seems like yesterday when i taught him how to walk… Now he’s running around, jumping around and we cannot stop him from growing. He’s so excited to have his birthday for he knew he will have a candle on a birthday cake to blow.
I was not there during morning until 5:30pm cause i needed to go to work. But i rushed back home after work to give my wife a hand. After few hours of preparing, people starts coming. Thanks Myney for cooking. Our visitors start to came about 7 pm. There’s Ate Criselda and Kuya Tantan, Ate Mayong, Tita Fatima, Kuya Jhong, Ninang Marisse, Tito Melvin and Tito Tanjo. Our housemates bought the cakes by the way, thanks for that. And finally my son blew his cake for a few times because he blowed it off a bit too early that we haven’t even finish singing happy birthday. It was so much fun. Everyone enjoyed the food, they keep on coming back for more. And all of them only got one word for it, amazing. Thanks Myney!
That day was truly great. I’m thankful that God gave me this family. It simply takes my troubles away. Happy Birthday Kadmiel. God Bless you more, son. You made me and your mom really happy.
