It’s been a long time since I took a leave from work, Thursday last week I had one. That day was special because I’m spending it with my wife. Ever since we got here in Singapore, me and my wife haven’t watch a movie together alone with just the two of us. We always go with friends or our son. Watching movies is one of the most favorite thing we do since college. And i think it’s very important for couples that they share the same field of interest. Me and Paula got a lot in common. Most of the time we got the same choice of food (except on fruits, she usually likes sour ones), computer games, movies, tv shows, designs (we both love advertising & design) and most importantly belief. We woke up early morning to have our breakfast, hotdogs and buns (my wife got cravings on 7/11 Hotdogs, we used to take a lot during the time I work on Good Samaritan Colleges). While my wife was getting ready, me and my son eat breakfast first. We will be sending our son on school then off into the theater. Afraid to miss the bus ride and be late for the movies, Paula decided to have her breakfast on the road. We reach school just in time, but we only got 15 minutes to head in to Plaza Singapura. We misscalculate the travel time, we got there 15 minutes late. But we still went in. The movie just started, so I went out for a while to buy food at McDonalds. Too bad we forgot that bringing outside food are not allowed, the attendant saw me, they took it and ask us to claim back afterwards. Good thing, Paula still got the hotdog bun that I prepared for breakfast.
We watched “Life as we know it”, it’s a family movie. We’re glad we watched it. We enjoyed every part of it, the casts have done a great job. The story is very simple, based on usual things we encounter in a relationship everyday. To cut it short, the movie is definitely a must see.
After spending quality time with my wife, we went to fetch our son from school. The timing was just nice. We got on school just before they send the children out. There’s nothing in this world that can compare to the happiness it gives me when I spend time with my family. Simply taking a day off to stay with them makes my heart pounder. And looking at my wife as she hug and kiss me as we walk, and see the smile on my son’s face as he approach us after school, is really amazing. Truly God blessed me by giving me such a beautiful family. And to that, I’m really greatful. Thanks to my wife and my son who never fail to love me everyday. I am looking forward to my next leave, that day would be a special day too because that would be on my wife’s delivery date.
To add up to everything, before we go home we went to Singtel’s Com Center to send my iphone for a repair. Unexpectedly, they decided to give me a brand new iphone 3G since my old one got hardware problem. That’s it, I could never be more happier. Everything’s just gorgeous! One more thing, we stop by the roadside to take photo’s of us with Singapore’s outstanding landscape, a combination of City and nature all at once!
